Beyond the Boundaries of Medicine and Engineering, Setting the Standard for Biomedical Engineering

As Korea’s first department of biomedical engineering, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Seoul National University College of Medicine has led interdisciplinary research spanning engineering, basic medical sciences, and clinical medicine through close collaboration with Seoul National University Hospital.

Through systematic research and interdisciplinary collaboration that extends beyond traditional academic boundaries, the Department has helped establish the academic foundation of biomedical engineering in Korea and continues to generate research achievements that shape the direction of next-generation medical technologies.
